Domiciliary Care That Fits Around Your Daily Life

Domiciliary care means a trusted carer visits you at home at agreed times to help with the parts of the day that have become harder. You stay in your own home, keep your own routines and get the right support, exactly when you need it.

What Is Domiciliary Care?

Domiciliary care, also called home care or visiting care, is support provided in your own home rather than in a care home. Our carers visit at times that suit you, whether that is a short morning call to help you get up and dressed or several visits throughout the day.

It is ideal for people who want to stay independent at home but need a helping hand with personal care, meals, medication or simply some friendly company.

How Visits Work

Every care plan is different, but a typical day of visits might look like this:

  1. Morning

Help to get up, washed and dressed, with breakfast and medication.

  2. Lunchtime

A freshly prepared meal and a friendly check in.

  3. Teatime

Help with an evening meal and any household tasks.

  4. Evening

Support to get ready for bed and settle for the night.

Visits can be arranged once a day, several times a day or a few times a week. The length and timing of each visit are agreed with you during your care assessment, and can be changed as your needs change.

Care Built Around You

Before care begins, we visit you to understand your routines, preferences and what matters most. Do you like your tea a certain way? Prefer a shower in the evening? Enjoy a chat about football or gardening? These details shape your care plan.

We review your plan regularly, and whenever your needs change, so your support always fits your life.

Familiar Faces You Can Trust

We aim to introduce you to a small, consistent team of carers, so trust and friendship can grow over time. All our carers are carefully recruited, trained and supervised, and our local office team is always on hand if you have a question or need to change a visit.

If your regular carer is unavailable, we will let you know and arrange a familiar replacement wherever possible.

Costs and Funding

The cost of domiciliary care depends on how many visits you need, how long each visit lasts and the times of day. We will explain everything clearly and give you a written quote before care begins. Care can be self funded or arranged through other funding routes.
